WEEE What is it?

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE Directive) was introduced into UK law in January 2007 by the Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment Regulations 2006.

The WEEE Directive aims to reduce the amount of electrical and electronic equipment being produced and to encourage everyone to reuse, recycle and recover it.

The WEEE Directive also aims to improve the environmental performance of businesses that manufacture, supply, use, recycle and recover electrical and electronic equipment.

What does offer?

We offer a take back sceme and will dispose of your obsolete electrical equipment on a like-for-like basis. You can return your obsolete equipment to us at:

Electrolve, 6 Humber Street, Grimsby, DN31 3HL

To remind you that old electrical equipment can be recycled, it is now marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. Please do not throw any electrical equipment (including those marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol) in your bin.

Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009 operates a collection point for all waste batteries that you may have. The collection point is located at our warehouse at:

Electrolve, 6 Humber Street, Grimsby, DN31 3HL

Similar scemes are also available at most supermarkets and large highstreet stores which you may find more convenient for disposing of your waste batteries. You can locate your nearest recycling centre for waster batteries here
